Additional Information
Cumin is a tropical or subtropical annual flowering plant in the family Apiaceae with increased tolerance to drought. Well-drained, fertile soil with a loamy texture and accompanied by a pH in the range of 6.5 to 8.5 is best suited for cumin growth. The professional training provided by Bosorganics enables farmers to enhance soil fertility and produce high-quality crops while preserving the natural quality of the soil and protecting the environment. Cumin requires an optimum temperature of about 25 to 30°C for the growth and will be ready for harvest within 100 to 120 days after planting. Cumin seeds are extracted from the chaff by threshing the dried plants with sticks and the further dried seeds are then winnowed to remove the debris. Sorted and graded pure seeds must be stored at room temperature in sterilized and sealed moisture-proof bags.
